Howdy, everyone, I hope you're doing well.
After careful thought and consideration, I've decided to rename my publication, Random Photo Adventure Chronicles.
When I first launched this newsletter, my intention was for it to be more of a personal blog or field journal, sharing my nature photography adventures. But that quickly changed. I soon found myself wanting to delve deeper into matters of wildlife and conservation, and to tell unique environmental stories here in Halton Hills and the Halton region.
Initially, the name didn't pose any challenges. However, as I began to research and write about various topics, often needing to reach out to experts for information or clarification, it became clear the name no longer fit. "Random Photo Adventure Chronicles" sounds more like a personal blog than a nature photography and journalism publication.
This became even more apparent in recent weeks, especially as I started covering the response to government legislation in Ontario. A change was clearly needed.
Therefore, I'm very happy to announce the new name for this newsletter, which I believe is a fun play on words while also reflecting its evolution:
Going forward, this newsletter will now be known as "The Field & Shutter Press."
What Does This Mean for You?
In all honesty, nothing beyond the name change. Everything else remains exactly the same. The new name simply better reflects the combination of journalism and nature photography that this newsletter aims to deliver. It will continue to be an extension of Random Photo Adventure, still featuring my personal experiences and stories from the field.
The website will be updated to reflect the new name, with the June issue being the last edition sent out under the previous name.
Thank you to everyone who has read or shared any of the articles or issues thus far. Your support is deeply appreciated.
Until the next post!
